Customer Reviews of Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2
Ron from Peoria Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewThis is the nicest folding board available today. I also bought one from another vendor, which is the same as two other vendors' products. Those have smaller 2 1/8" squares and the color of the white squares is grayish. This one from Wholesale Chess has a full 2 2/4" square and the color is a very nice and warm buff which contrast very nicely with the Green of the dark squares. I'd buy another of these in a heartbeat.
Rene' from New Orleans Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewGreat value and buy. I wish they made these boards with 2.325 squares and I would buy 50. Great compliment with HOS pieces. A must have!
Joseph from Coconut Creek,FL. Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewGreat sturdy old school broard with new algebraic notation. Excellent deal.
Ian from Fort McCoy Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewThis is a nice basic folding chess board. I only wish it was offered in more colors, which is why I subtracted one star.
Erik from Rockford Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewLOVE this board, as a personal board. It'll get beat up over the years, but it's nice, flat, and the colors offer a nice contrast to whatever pieces you put on them. The "buff" is kind of a bone/off-white color. Not recommended for scholastic team use, though, as the PVC will tear and fall apart after only a year or two. (ever see an old board-game board?)
Erik from Rockford Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewGreat board. Large enough for my 3.875" plastic sets. The "buff" color is a bit darker than I'd like, kind of the color of coffee stained paper. However, the Green & Buff color with black and ivory HOS pieces looks amazing, and the pieces play nicely on the board. Drawback: once that heat seal breaks, it'll probably fall apart quickly, just like the old board games. However, like anything else, it'll hold up if I keep it clean and not destroy it.
Glenn from Richmond Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewI love my new fold up board. Storage space is at a premium for me & I couldnt find a good fold up board locally. My new vinyl board is perfect - extra large squares against a light background is just what I was looking for. The people at Wholesale Chess were fast, polite & the quality of their products is outstanding.
Bob from Aurora Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewGreat colors on this board. complemented the red and white pieces I board perfectly. This is now one of my favorite sets to play on.
Steve from 1 Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewThis product is basically a soft-plastic vinyl wrapped around a piece of carboard and heat-seamed on the edges. Mine arrived bent, and will not flatten out. I would not recommend this product.
Gary from Manhattan Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewObviously will no hold up. Take it off your site to save yourself grief.
Sergio from Oakland, CA Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewAn outstanding value, especially paired with the basic club chess pieces and the "perfect fit" bag. Everybody loves playing on it.
Thomas from Bakersfield Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewThis game board is excellent. Great job.
Brian from Andover, MA Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewI've bought several of these in the past for club use. Great product, but I've always found the light squares too dark for my taste. I just bought the blue with white and it's a great improvement--with one quibble. The squares are 2 1/16 inches; not 2 1/8. If you had this blue and white in 2 1/4, I'd buy a dozen.
Phil from Cincinnati Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewGood boards which stay flat!
Todd from Schnecksville Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewAt 9.99,it's a must buy,buy 3 and get 3.99 shipping,that's 3 for $30.00.
Benny from Des Moines Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewI received my Folding PVC Chessboard in perfect condition. It is lightweight, sturdy, with a soft plastic covering and the crease is between the 4th and 5th rank. I have used it in tournament play and it is exactly what I had imagined/hoped for it to be. A great alternative to a vinyl board, as it obviously stays flat without issue. I would give it no lower than a 4 out of 5 recommendation, but personally think it's near-perfect. (If I ever lost it, I would no doubt buy another one!)
Greg from Menasha Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewBack in the 70's, the Drueke Company made folding chessboads that were attractive and functional. The lay flat and the center ridge was not very noticeable. This PVC folding board is somewhat less "classy" than the old boards I recall, b ut it is attractive in its own right. The squares are fairly small, to it won't accommodate larger chess pieces. Th surface seems durable and easily cleaned, if necessary.
Brian from Andover, MA Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewI like these boards. Excellent for the price. The white color is not as white as shown in the pictures. It's more like a buff color. My preference is for the red and white.
Dan from Honolulu, HI Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewI am satisfied but not delighted with this board. Most importantly, the colors do not quite match the photographs. The green squares are darker than shown, which reduces the contrast with black pieces. It is about the same as the forest green shown for the roll-up boards. The sides of the board stick together when closed, so it is easy but not effortless to open.
mike from baltimore Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewThe best folding board that I have ever had...great for tournaments
Roland from Jemseg Quality Folding PVC Chess Board - 19 1/2 ReviewAs advertised. These are excellent boards, as good as could be imagined, and very well received at the club. We'll be ordering more as soon as we do a bit of fund-raising...
