Chevalier is French for Knight, a rank in the Lgion d'honneur for members of the Ordre National du Mrite (in English: The National Order of Merit), an Order of Chivalry awarded by the President of the French Republic. The Order can be awarded, for distinguished civil and military achievements. The President of the French Republic is the Grand Master of the Order. The Chevalier Series from our Premier Collection is Crafted from Rosewood and Boxwood. Rosewood is strong, heavy, and richly hued timber taking an excellent polish, being suitable for creating decorative wood. The King stands 4" tall with a 1 3/4" base.
