I have bought 7" sets from other companies, actually the one that makes itself sound prestigious. From them the board was warped and the pieces too defective to use. This is an excellent set.The only thing that I had trouble with was that it took an inordinately long time totake the pieces out of their insert. Much faster was placing the pieces in small, sealable plastic bags. a bag for each color. This also made it less likely that any pieces might get lost if they fell on the ground when I was putting them away.

It is finely finished and includes an insert to protect it from being scratched. The pieces are very well made and will not be confused for each other. They stick to the board without sliding off easily. The reverse side of the board has a storage space for each piece. I have owned several travel set in my life but this has to be the finest one I have seen for the money.

I wish now they would come up with an even smaller one with pegs and a place to put the taken off pieces on the sides. That would be even better for travel. My only disagreement with the Magnetic set is that the pieces have to be put in the interior...which is hard while setting on a plane paying with someone in the seat beside you.
