Chess aficionados who like distinctive chess sets will love this classic claw-footed set with metal pieces. The compact 12 x 12 inch square board is made of gorgeous Red Burl and Maple with silver metal feet. The squares are 1 1/8 inches and easily accommodate the beautiful metal chess pieces.
The pieces are in the traditional Staunton style. The stately king stands 2 1/2 inches tall but it is the knight that draws the most admiring glances. He is a regal pedestal knight with a detailed mane and features. One side of the board is silver in color and the other is gold.
