Customer Reviews of Power Play 4 - King: Start Right
Art from Boston Power Play 4 - King: Start Right ReviewKing makes his points very clearly, and supports them with copious amounts of examples from actual games. He draws on both classical (Paul Morphy Evan's Gambit) and more modern examples such as variations of the Queen's Pawn openings. The emphasis is on the ideas behind the moves, not on blind memorization. This is not a comprehensive discussion of the ECO, but rather an explanation of what both white and black are trying to achieve in the opening. At times, he tears through the material at breakneck speed, but all the games are there to be studied later at leisure.
